Typically, when I am inspecting a hoarder house to buy there is a feeling of caution, reluctance, embarrassment from family members of the hoarder, that contact me. I try to ease them as I have seen this many times and have purchased several. There is nothing shocking about this to me and I am glad to help. The simple fact is probably the majority of homes I buy direct are owned by elderly people. Maybe it’s an estate and I am in contact with the children of but you get my point. The majority of elderly homes I inspect to buy have a lot of stuff. Maybe not floor to ceiling with a 20″ open path like a late stage hoarders I see but lots of stuff just the same. They are memories, sometimes fears of letting go, sometimes it busy time. Whatever the case there is no need to be embarrassed. It’s more common than what you think.
