The Richmond Real Estate , based on my experience, is sluggish at the moment. There are plenty of so called market experts out there. Writing plenty of articles with lots of statistics but, in my experience it’s primarily slower because of the winter season (late January). Even more than “new President new policies” and more than “mortgage rates” . Experience and common sense tell me it’s just the “winter blues” of January. Post holidays, colder than average winter temps and it will likely remain sluggish through all of February. Yes, home values drop a bit during these months. And yes the inventory is slowly growing . But, “winter blues” is the largest contributor for now.
