The “but” is move in ready homes are drawing the heaviest interest. Not homes that are outdated, need some handy work, rehabs etc. Why? Well it makes sense when you think about it. Assuming there is a mortgage for the buyer it is better to have all that work done, headache over,etc. on a lower rate mortgage than an after the fact higher cost of money loan to remodel. Not to mention prior they are moving into the finished project. After they are in amongst the project.
