Am I missing something? 30 Year fixed rates are at approximately 6.77% and yet some act shocked, as if thats high. I confess, I am in the first half of my sixties years of age so I have lived many decades of mortgage rates. Wake up call, upper 6’s are good! The short period in the big history picture of rates at 3%-5% were historically low. It’s not the norm. Anyone my age remembers the days of 8% norm and even 12%
